WHAT IS FREEMASONRY?

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations.

Ceres Lodge actively supports Masonic charities and has also supported a number of non-masonic charities over the years

Delve into the rich traditions of Freemasonry as we gather to celebrate our shared values and principles

We meet at Mark Masons’ Hall in St. James Street, London SW1A 1PL: https://markmasonshall.org.

The Kent Club for London Freemasons organises social events for Masons and their families.

Engage in enlightening discussions, partake in meaningful rituals, and forge lasting connections with fellow brethren

On 16th September 2019, a ceremony was held in the meeting of Rupert Patterson Lodge No 3646 at Freemasons’ Hall to recognise the twinning of Les Cinq Continents Loge no 799 in Paris (affiliated to the Grande Loge Nationale Française (GLNF)) with Rupert Patterson Lodge (a Hall Stone Lodge). Framed certificates to commemorate the occasion were exchanged. Twelve brethren of the Cinq Continents Lodge, including their Grand Officer from the Province of Lutèce, W Bro Ralph Memran, attended together with W Bro Steve Brown PGStB. Those present also witnessed a double Initiation ceremony.

The ceremony was the culmination of meetings in both London and Paris including attendance of brethren, their wives and partners at their respective Ladies Festivals.
The original contact between the Lodges was initiated by W Bro Hakki Emlegen who had been a French Freemason before joining Rupert Patterson Lodge.

The ‘twinning’ celebration concluded with dinner at the Hilton DoubleTree Hotel, Southampton Row, London where members of the Lodges and their guests were entertained by Frère Frederic Goncalves, who gave a wonderful rendition of some of his solo operatic performances.
