On 16th January, in Temple 10 at Freemasons Hall, at Metropolitan Grand Stewards Chapter No 9812, First Principal E Comp Robert Anderson welcomed E Comp Mark Smith, renowned military historian and pundit on the BBC's Antiques Roadshow, who delivered an entertaining, animated and illuminating talk on the Battle of Waterloo.

Just prior to the Talk, the Deputy Metropolitan Grand Superintendent, E Comp Timothy L'Estrange, delivered an extended eulogy to former Metropolitan Grand Inspector and Metropolitan Second Grand Principal, E Comp Keith Tallon.

The members and guests dined in the vestibule of the Grand Temple.
