WHAT IS FREEMASONRY?

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations.

Ceres Lodge actively supports Masonic charities and has also supported a number of non-masonic charities over the years

Delve into the rich traditions of Freemasonry as we gather to celebrate our shared values and principles

We meet at Mark Masons’ Hall in St. James Street, London SW1A 1PL: https://markmasonshall.org.

The Kent Club for London Freemasons organises social events for Masons and their families.

Engage in enlightening discussions, partake in meaningful rituals, and forge lasting connections with fellow brethren

The London Masonic Bowlers Association are delighted to extend an invitation to all bowling associations and clubs to a happy day’s charity bowling event. The Summer London Inspired Masonic Bowls Occasion – SLIMBO, will take place on Wednesday 15th August 2018
NEW VENUE: Met Police Bushey Sports Ground Aldenham Road, Watford WD23

The event is being held in aid of The Metropolitan Grand Lodge’s latest Charity appeal to raise £2.5 million pounds for London Fire Brigade to purchase two high rise super-aerial platforms. Once in service they will have the highest reach of any appliance in use in Europe. By your participation in our SLIMBO Gala Bowls Day you will be making a valuable contribution to this extremely useful addition to the protection and safety of all citizens in the London Area.

Our new Summer Bowling Facility at Bushey has many advantages – close to M1/M25/A41 for access; ample parking; a superb well maintained Green with excellent club facilities/bar etc.

Full details will be sent nearer the date, once we have a full list of participants and can organise who lays whom. We expect to start around 10am/1030am with coffee on arrival. All teams will play at least 4 rounds of bowls lasting 45 minutes. Should we achieve more than 12 entries we will split into a 2 group format [as our now well known MACE style] but still finishing around tea time after Tea and Cakes to refresh you for your journey home.

In response to popular demand teams will consist of 3 players [Triples] and may be mixed. Play will be in Whites. There will a break for a 2 course Lunch. Winning team to hold the Green Diamond Trophy for the year, plus a ‘replica’ Salver to retain. All this in a good cause for only £15.00 and a pleasant day’s bowling!

Please reply no later than 31st May 2018 to confirm either your entry [max 2 triples per club] or advise please if you are unable to support this worthy cause on this occasion. For entry form contact: Ian Keech, 51 Five Oaks, Caddington, Beds. LU1 4JD; 01582 731998; 07904 525988.

We look forward to your company at SLIMBO!
