On 10th September 2024, Bro Wesley Pierce was installed as the 80th Worshipful Master of Weir Hall Lodge No 6088 by W Bro Ian Smith, his proposer into the Lodge twelve years ago.

The event was attended by many esteemed guests, including W Bro Mark Pertow ProvGDC and W Bro Jez Wilson PAGDC, Brethren from Hertfordshire, Kent, and London Lodges, and W Bro Derek Morley PJGD, PGStB, who had the honour of presenting Bro Pierce’s brother-in-law, Bro Moretto, with his Grand Lodge certificate.

An inspiring Address to the Master was delivered by W Bro Graham Dullop PGSD, a former MetGInsp, whose words resonated with empathy and distinction. Adding a touch of tradition, Bro Ed Compton performed the Master's Song with elegance at the Festive Board.

The evening also raised over £600 for JDRF, the leading global type 1 diabetes charity, who work every day to help people live better with the condition, prevent people ever developing it and one day, find cures. They fund research and campaign for access to all treatments – particularly supporting children with Type 1 Diabetes, a cause close to Bro Pierce’s heart as it is a condition the new Master’s 14 year old son himself manages.
