On Saturday 13th July 2024, the Master of Old Owen’s Lodge No 4440,  supported by other members, friends and family, held a Summer Soiree. It was held to support two charities, namely The MetGL Air Ambulance “Up Against Time” Appeal and the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). The weather was kind at the event, held in Harpenden, Herts. It consisted of an afternoon of good food, wine and music. A face painter was in attendance to amuse the children, who were also most welcome.

A jazz band was in attendance and provided entertainment for all. Donation buckets were circulated, and a raffle was also held. In total, the event raised an impressive £2301.76 including Gift Aid and a £250 donation from the Lodge Relief Chest. £1301.76 was donated to LAAC and £1000 to the RDA. The Lodge is hoping to make this a regular event.
