WHAT IS FREEMASONRY?

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations.

Ceres Lodge actively supports Masonic charities and has also supported a number of non-masonic charities over the years

Delve into the rich traditions of Freemasonry as we gather to celebrate our shared values and principles

18th September 2019 was a special occasion for Mandate Lodge No. 4258 when three generations of the same family celebrated the Initiation of 23-year-old Zack Davies at Freemasons Hall, in the presence of 35 members and guests. The initiation was particularly special as Bro Zack is not only the son of the Lodge’s Worshipful Master, W Bro Gideon Davies but also the blood brother of the Senior Warden, Bro Adam Davies and is the grandson of W Bro Harry Davies, the Lodge Secretary.

It was a particularly poignant event for W Bro Harry, as in 2021 he will celebrate fifty years in freemasonry, sixty years of marriage to wife Janet and the Lodge will mark its Centenary, having been consecrated in 1921. The Worshipful Master, Secretary, Senior Warden and an Entered Apprentice Freemason spanning three generations within the same Lodge at the same time is quite an achievement.
