The Masonic Charitable Foundation has donated £5,000 to the Deptford Reach Charity. Deptford Reach helps people rebuild lives that have been damaged by homelessness, mental illness, drug or alcohol abuse and social exclusion.

From their centre in Speedwell Street they offer a wide range of support, advice, training and practical help. Their watchwords are respect and individual support. Deptford is one of the most deprived districts anywhere in the UK with very high levels of social exclusion. That’s what makes their work so vital. Deptford Reach, helps each person confront their own difficulties and other peoples’, it’s a charity that really is delivering an essential service to the Deptford community.

Their day centre in London SE8 is open Monday to Thursday where they provide free drop-in advice and a warm, safe environment for anyone who wishes to use the service, and for advice by appointment on Fridays. Their showers, hot meals and laundry services are vital in supporting homeless, vulnerable and marginalised adults.
