On 17th November 2025, VW Bro Simon White, Assistant Metropolitan Grand Master attended Universal Lodge No 181 at Mark Masons' Hall to present a 70 Year Long Service Certificate to W Bro Alan Hakim. Not only had Alan completed 70 years Craft service but at the time of this meeting, he was the ruling Worshipful Master of the Lodge. In this capacity, he conducted a Passing Ceremony from the Chair and delivered an Explanation of the Second Degree Tracing Board… all truly remarkable for a man in his 90’s.
